Day 18: A visit to Hieudan's home

Following the hectic but rather delicious wedding celebrations... it was time to get back to my travel plans. Only a few detour plans awaited, one was to visit my friend's, Hieudan's family home.

Many of my friends in Brisbane were originally from Central and Southern Vietnam therefore, visiting their home city was a must!

Dan's family has moved from the city to the country side (local translation).  Her dad and mom built their new home there and started their own fish farm. Visiting was both an honour and a pleasure :)

We consumed Vietnamese pancakes till we had trouble breathing.  The most beautiful greens were coupled with the most delicious coconut pancakes and sauces. For dessert, we had coconut jello flowers on ice ...

Since everyone consumed so much food, our adventures continued by taking an hour long nap...and only once we awoke from our food-coma, took time to visit the farm. There were fish ponds all around, filled with all sorts of colours and sizes of fish. It was also my very first time to see dragon fruit trees!

Only a week left of my travels and a whole lot more grounds to cover.

Enjoy the photos
